73Are you perfectly normal? Because I am! The truth is, if you think I am weird then that means you are weird, because I know how normal I am! So I ask you again, are you perfectly normal?
What does it mean to be normal? Obviously I know since I am perfectly normal. Should I devolve this secret? Maybe you can guess what it is without me telling you. Maybe I should have you tell me what it means to be perfectly normal first. So here is a quiz to see if you are perfectly normal.

Okay so it was a short quiz, but by now you should have a better idea of what normal is. So for the last time I am going to ask you, are you perfectly normal? I hope so! See I will let you in on the secret of what makes you normal. The secret is… everybody is normal! The world would not be the same today without you in it and therefore you are a normal part of the world. So the next time somebody says you are weird just remember, you are not weird, but normal and so if they think you are weird they are weird because they do not understand how normal you are!
***Disclaimer: Although I really do believe everybody is normal, some people may have some mental problems and/or other issues that may put them in a bad state of mind. Although they are normal, I hope everyday that they do not become a more numerous part of our normal population!***

Thanks barbergirl! I am so happy that you understand the point I was trying to make :-) this topic actually came up when I was in high school. I was getting teased one day for being so weird... I came back with my now famous saying (with friends and those who have heard it) 'I'm not weird, I'm normal. Therefore if you think I am weird then you must be weird because that is how normal I am!" I've stuck with it since :-)

Well according to your quiz, I am perfectly normal. Not that I need your quiz to tell me that. And, I would have to disagree with your belief that everyone is normal. Everyone is unique in their own way, but not everyone is normal because normal is a specific state of being/existing which is dictated by a specific standard. I will agree with you that if someone is going to call me weird, then it is only a mere reflection of their own inner self and not actual truth. ;) Voted up for creativity. :) Cool Hub! :)

Well thank you Cagsil... I guess for me the whole point is that normal does not really exist because who can define that? Therefore if you exist in this world you are normal. You are you and you are a part of this world therefore you are a normal part of this world. I always like to be proud of myself for being goofy and weird, but the truth is that everybody is goofy and weird in their own way so that is a normal part of our world. Anyways... Hey Mythicalstorm, I disagree with it because of the examples which don't fall into the category of being weird or goofy. I'm talking about those who find killing enjoyable? How can that be considered normal? Especially if it's killing people. I can understand some people take joy in hunting(which is the killing of animals) which would be considered normal to some degree. So, you can see why I disagree that everyone is normal. ;) :D I hope that was a better explanation. You're welcome. :)

Cagsil: I completely understand what you mean now. Sorry I didn't get that from the first comment, although I did take the murdering aspect of society into consideration hence my disclaimer. I believe people who enjoy doing such horrendous things have something wrong with them. Still here is the issue I have with this idea... if they are not normal then where do we draw the line? That is what I always find the problem when it comes to differentiating between differences. That is why I just believe that all humans are normal but something just didn't click quite right with them. Maybe they have some sort of mental disability that makes them think they are doing what is right or perhaps they just cracked all together. I can't explain them since I am not them, but I have a hard time putting them in their own category. Also then those who are looking to be special would look at that as a reward. Still I totally understand what you are saying and that is one area I do agree with you about that is very difficult to categorize... I guess it is a difficult thing to deal with in our society no matter what!
